I got this for my husband since he uses tools of all sorts on a regular basis, both at home and at work. Well upon working on this review I found out this was perfect timing for this because his previous one just broke and he`s excited about this. Wow! Talk about perfect timing! Let me start off by saying I am NOT the type who understands these sorts of products, but this comes with very easy to follow instructions that explains everything to you! So easy that someone with no electrical experience, like myself, was able to understand it. With that being said, my husband, on the other hand, knows exactly what this is for and how to use it. So originally I tried it out from a perspective of someone who has no idea what they`re doing to see if it works and what not - which is did and in turn allowed my husband to try it out and well he says it`s a rather nice device and works great! Between both of trying it out here`s what we discovered. Aside from this being easy to use, it`s light weight, compact and easy to store when not in use. There`s a button to turn the light on to make it easier to read the LCD screen results, but during the day the chances are this option is not needed. This device runs off of a 9v battery which is already included and installed so it`s all ready to go once it arrives. For those who do not know, this multimeter device measures the voltage over AC and DC circuits meaning that it measures resistance and it measures current, also known as the amperage. I like that the meter is clearly labeled so you know how to adjust your settings for what you`re trying to use it for. It gives a really quick reading within a matter of seconds and, according to my husband, are accurate. He actually works as an electrical apprentice under his licensed uncle who also was able to confirm this was a great device. Overall it`s a great device, accurate and is easy to use with great instructions.
