Spinner and fidget toys are all the rage these days  - but why? It is said that fidget toys and spinners of all sorts help with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety and autism. For those of you not familiar, fidget spinners are small, ball-bearing devices that the user can rotate between his or her fingers. The momentum of the toy provides a pleasing sensory experience for most users. Many spinners are marketed as aides for individuals with anxiety, autism and ADHD; but even as someone without any of those needs, the toy can be addicting. While claiming these help benefit individuals with autism, anxiety, and ADHD, one thing is clear - these are certainly all the rage right now. I am a huge fan of fidget toys as something to fool with while watching TV to help reduce time on my phone. As a blogger, I am in front the computer most of the day and then when I lay in bed to relax my habit is to hop on my phone and scroll through Facebook. The problem with that is the toll it takes on my eyes and honestly, just feels more draining than anything, regardless of how addicting it is to just get on the phone to see what`s going on on the Facebook feed. So for me, the fidget toy is a distraction from automatically grabbing my phone and hoping on it. This one seems to be of nice quality so far. It`s light weight in terms of overall weight, but it has a nice quality feel to it. According to the company, it will take some time to break in, but the longer you spin it, the longer it will spin. Using the spinner is easy. Just hold it in one of your hands and use your opposite hand to rapidly spin it with small continuous hits. You can also use one hand to start and stop the spinning with practice, this, in particular, is a popular way of fidgeting. Thanks to the buttons you can easily also spin it on the table. If you clean your bearings, they will also spin longer. Like I said, I`ve tried and owned a few spinners and fidgets. Some are fun, but are poorly made. Others were nice at first, but then pieces started to fall apart on them. So far this one is a good quality and everything feels like it is secured. I have been playing with mine for a few days now and am very pleased with it. My only complaint is that my husband has stolen it from me so I have to fight him when I want a turn!
