Is it me or does it seem like they don`t make too many good children`s films anymore? As much as I love a good movie, I know Sophia needs a good movie to watch as well.
Phase 4 Films was nice enough to send us
Kiara the Brave for Sophia to watch.
Kiara the Brave was released in June 2012. It is described as taking viewers to the Dreamzone, a peaceful and a magical kingdom under the rule of King Maximus. The serene kingdom faces a sudden change when the king is captured and imprisoned by his evil brother, Dreadmis. The king`s daughter, courageous Princess Kiara, must conquer evil and restore harmony in Deamzone, returning her father to the throne. Kiara the Brave has an 80 minute run time and is rated PG.
Now for my thoughts: This seems to take the appearance of Pixars movie "Brave". In fact, when I opened the packaging I honestly thought it was the same movie for a minute there. So there goes a point for creativity. Don`t copy other movies, especially if they`re still new! Not cool. It seems that this movie is mostly selling to people who are mistakenly thinking it is Pixar`s Brave. It was also pretty shady that they released this movie came out shortly before Pixar`s Brave hit theaters.
About the movie itself: This moving is not about Kiara and she is only a minor character. It is about a boy named Super Kloud born from a cauldron of Bat wings, bugs, slime, and other "gross" things. Not exactly a film I would think that a girl would like. The writing and plot are terrible and the animation is hokey.

Sophia is 4 and within 20-30 minute through she wouldn`t even finish the film. It was so poorly put together. I honestly hate writing negative reviews for companies on my blog when it comes to working with a company, but I couldn`t lie to make this one any better. Would I recommend this movie? No! If you want to view it for yourself though Amazon has a video on demand option or you can order it. It`s your choice.
If you`ve seen this movie, please tell me what you think.
