Oh Happy Nappers
. Those things! Yes, I will be the first to admit that when I first saw this while out and about I thought it couldn`t possibly be a hit. It just seemed a bit silly. Don`t ask me why I thought this, it just didn`t strike me as an exciting idea. So when I was given the opportunity to review it I said ok just to see how it works out. If anything it would end up getting donated to my local VVA next time I have a pick up. Well apparently those plans changed.
When the package with the Igloo to Penguin
came in Sophia was home. She saw what was in the box and started freaking out (in a good way) about wanting to play with the penguin. She is 4 and I had yet to turn it into a penguin. It was still in the igloo shape and just sitting in the box awaiting it`s time for review. Well when I saw her excitement from looking at it I just had to give in and let her play with it.
When I say she was having the time of her life with this thing I mean she was having a good ol` time! Sure, I admit that it it is pretty cute and cuddly and soft and all that good stuff. I just don`t see the thrill in it. Maybe this is why I don`t see it as a big seller at my local store. but let your little one play with it and they will love it! Now I don`t think this will help any with nap time since Sophia seemed to be so excited over it, but she does enjoy playing with it. The whole being reversible thing is such a fascination to her. Turning it back and forth between the igloo and penguin. Not to mention it makes sounds as if the penguin were sleeping if you push the button.
So overall? While I think it`s just another cute little toy, no big deal, Sophia LOVES it! It`s safe for her to play with and easy to carry around for play time or in the car. She can nap on the igloo as a pillow and play with the penguin as a friend. Would I recommend this? For a young child, YES! For us adults we may think its another tacky toy out on the shelf, but the little ones love it, and that`s what counts obviously. Besides, it is made pretty well and seems like it will hold up rather well. So if you have a child`s birthday approaching look into getting one of these for them! You can purchase them online such as from the Happy Nappers web site or Amazon.com
or you can purchase them at your local stores such as Walgreens or Walmart. If you go through their web site be sure to use their free shipping code: SPECIAL4U
