I`m not going to lie, I much prefer my electric can opened to a handheld one. For me it`s quicker, easier, and more convenient. On the other hand, my husband prefers the handheld ones better! Now don`t get me wrong, come a power outage and I`m going to love that handheld opener a lot more too! Well since my husband loves the handheld devices so much I figured the Finesseur Safety Smooth Edge Can Opener would be a good little surprise for him. And of course he loved it! Why? Well the black is a nice simple design and the can opener is comfortable to grip. Most importantly though it gets the job done. I`m the type who can generally never get these things to work right and this one I was able to easily operate. What`s cool about handheld can openers that I can give credit for is not only do they open your canned goods, but they can also open then pain in the butt plastic packaging you generally find around electronics! I didn`t believe it either until I tried it myself - Pretty nifty and beats using scissors and still getting stabbed in the opening process.  

 

This can opener is durable, well made, looks nice and is easy to store. Not to mention being easy to clean is a nice perk of it as well. Of course I still love my easy to use electronic opener, but if the power goes out or it breaks - whatever the reason, this is definitely a great handheld choice for me to use. Regardless on my feelings, my husband loves it and claimed it as `his` the second it arrived in the mail!
