A cable tie or tie-wrap, also known as a hose tie, zap-strap, or zip tie,[1] is a type of fastener, for holding items together, primarily electric cables or wires. Because of their low cost and ease of use, tie-wraps are ubiquitous, finding use in a wide range of other applications. Stainless steel versions, either naked or coated with a rugged plastic, cater for exterior applications and hazardous environments. The common tie-wrap, normally made of nylon, has a tape section with teeth that engage with a pawl in the head to form a ratchet so that as the free end of the tape section is pulled the tie-wrap tightens and does not come undone. Another version of the tie-wrap allows a tab to be depressed to either adjust the tension or remove the ty-wrap.   Being a self proclaimed `tech geek` I have electrical wires and cables all over the place. It`s not that I want them - they`re just necessary for all the electronics! To help reduce that clutter I got the Multipurpose Cable Clips to help de-clitter the wires. These are super easy to use as all you have to do is peel the 3M tape backing and stick the clips where you need them. You slip the wires in and they hold them in place. Since using these clips I have not had any problems with them falling and they hold wires/cords or a variety of sizes. So one size fits most. They work great on a variety of surfaces as well, but I find a smooth surface always works best. So far these are light weight, durable, and of course keeps the wire clutter to a minimum. A must have for an office or if you have a lot of electronics for sure!
