Desserts: Pretty much the epitome of a good thing. They are endless sources of happiness, whether after a long day of work or celebratory reasons, smiles can be had while chowing down on them. The only downside is that they aren’t always great for you…Okay, 90% of the time they are flat out bad for you. Yet, there’s hope.
Today is the source of that hope. This No Bake Healthier Cheesecake is a golden ticket to sweet tooth satisfaction with a return ticket to guilt-free city.
Made with wholesome ingredients like cream cheese, Greek yogurt, and honey, this cheesecake is a lighter option than traditional recipes. Whereas tradition calls for heavy cream, and 1+ sticks of butter, this is a simplified list which contains less sugar, less milk, and more healthy.
what you’ll need.
8 Oz. Low Fat Cream Cheese
1/2 Cup Plain Chobani Greek Yogurt
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
Tbsp. Lemon Juice
2 Tbsp. Manuka Honey
1 Box Vanilla Wafers
2 Tbsp. 100% Organic Ghee
1 Can Baking Cherries (Optional)
Ice Cube Tray
how to make.
First, make sure to soften the cream cheese. Let it cool to room temperature. Then, beat it with a mixer.
Add in the Greek Yogurt, Lemon Juice, Honey to the mix above. Keep beating until smooth.
Crush up Vanilla Wafers into crumbs, add in the ghee (melt this first, in microwave). Form a crust.
Add the crust to the bottom of the ice cube tray.
Top the crust with some of the mixture.
Add cherries to the top of each cube (This is optional to celebrate #NationalCherryCheesecake Day!)
Freeze until solidified.
Eat. Them. Up!
