Pumpkin Seed Oil

This post first appeared on Piping Rock. All content is theirs.

Pumpkin season is here. If you stroll through any convenience store or supermarket, you're very much reminded of that fact. If you're like us, then we can bet money you're excited about it! After all, pumpkins are so versatile, it is difficult not to love them.

Today, we aren't here to discuss Jack-O-Lantern ideas, ways to bake with pumpkins, or provide tips to perfect pumpkin spice lattes. We are here, however, to talk about the inside of these great orange globes: the seeds!

No need to worry, we're going to enlighten you and talk all about them today. If you haven't heard of pumpkin seed oil before, you're bound to be an expert following this post.

Pumpkin Seed Oil is produced by cold-pressing the roasted hull seeds of pumpkins. It has a nutty flavor, and beneficial nutrients--like essential fatty acids!

Now that's covered, here are our favorite benefits

Cooking.

Pumpkin Seed Oil is a great alternative to other oils in the kitchen. Having linoleic, oleic, and stearic acids, they make any dish a bit more delicious. From dressings to desserts, swap out vegetable oil with pumpkin seed oil. It'll enhance the taste and work in your body's favor.

Skin.

Lesser known are the benefits that Pumpkin Seed Oil can provide your skin. A natural emollient, the oil goes on smoothly. It leaves skin with a touchable softness and can help get that coveted glow. For this reason, Pumpkin Seed Oil is great to incorporate into DIY skincare--from face masks to bath bombs.

On Its Own.

Much like flaxseed or fish oil, Pumpkin Seed Oil can be taken by the serving daily. Just one tablespoon will add a bit of goodness into your day.

Pretty great benefits, right? Now for the fun part, the DIY Toner! This toner will add a bit of seasonality into your daily regime.
