Because keeping your face mask routine up doesn't have to be costly.
When it comes to having an ideal face mask, we'll let you in on a secret, there's a formula almost all of them are following. Curious as to what that is? Allow us...
The Cleaning Compote:
This is usually a clay additive. The type of clay can range from bentonite to french green. Regardless, it's what gets the dirt out and the mask goodness in. If not clay, it could be something like charcoal, or exfoliating grains.
In sum: This part is all about a thick, cleaning ingredient.
The Scented Stuff:
Yes, the essential oils. There are myriad oils on the market, and boy do we love them. They are known to work well in masks to add a bit of aromatherapy to the cleansing session. If not oils, then the scent will usually come from spices like turmeric or cinnamon.
The Glow Booster:
This is where honey/exfoliating substances come into play. They help the cleaning compote do its thing and really stave off dead skin that forms on your face. The end result of this ingredient: glowing, soft skin.
Okay, now that you know what the deal is with face masks and their key ingredients, we think you're ready to make your own and see glowing results.
