This was a super simple craft and cost us nothing to make because we had everything laying around the house already! We used an old soup/vegetable can and turned it into a little flower pot! Here`s what you`ll need:
- A can (any shape or size)
- Paint (we had a coupon from a magazine that gave us a free paint from Lowes - one of those trial sized ones)
- Paintbrush
- Glitter
If you want, you can use a hammer and dent up your can to give it a more "modern" look, or you can use it as is. However creative you get is up to you! Whenever you`re ready take your paint, apply it to the can and let it dry. It took about an hour or 2 for us. Then Make a second coat. You can either allow it to try or if you`re adding in glitter, now is the time to sprinkle it on - while the paint is wet. This way, when the paint dries, your glitter will be stuck to the can.
That`s it! You`re done! Once all is dried you can add your dirt, plant your seed(s) and watch your new flower pot come to life!
If you don`t tend to keep craft supplied lying around the house, a good place I recommend ordering from is Discount School Supply. They always have great sales! Unless you feel like running to your local store that`s fine too!
