(From March 2012) I wanted a unique guest book for my wedding. I couldn`t quite find something that just struck me so I searched on Etsy hoping to find something unique. Well I found some that inspired me to make my own, but nothing quite fit what I wanted. So yesterday I went to Michaels and went crazy buying supplies and such to make my own project. While I did over indulge in materials, I can always use them for our wedding scrapbook or a different project.
So basically I took a book I found at Michaels, used various cardstock papers to recoved/decorate the book to my liking and there you have it! I added a ribbon accent. Then I used some 3D sticrapbooking stickers. I also used feather butterflies that are generally used in floral arrangements on the cover as well. Around the edges I found hot pink rhinestone round adhesives that I applied. I actually need one more roll to have the book completely finished, but it`s enough to give an idea.
On the spine you will see the letter D embellishment, which is to represent our last name. I added the silver glitter round adhesives as well to make it appear a bit more fancy. On the inside are various pages with space to write notes or simply sign the name. I intend to do some more decorating on the inside as time goes on, but for starters this is what I have. Mostly done, just the little extra touch ups that need to be added is what`s left.
This obviously isn`t for sale since it is for my own wedding, but I`d be happy to make custom orders. Keep in mind these will be rather expensive due to cost of materials mainly. I spent close to $200 in supplies to make mine. So depending on what you`re looking for you can expect to spend between $100-$200. Just email me at closetsamples.com or if you prefer you can contact me through my Etsy page (which I`d prefer actually just for security for both parties).
