Big perfume companies use social media sites like Instagram and Facebook to advertise their new scents. They give out free samples whenever they release a new fragrance. One of the biggest is to offer a free sample with an ad. Certain perfume brands place ads on these two websites; these ads direct targeted people to get the offer. There's no need to register; the app just automatically appears in your news feed once you're targeted.

 

 

 

 

When you see one of these ads, they usually say “Claim your free sample” with a sign-up button. All you have to do is click sign up, enter your email and mailing info, and they will mail you a free mini spray bottle of perfume or fragrance. 

 

You don’t even have to do much work to earn these ads. Just keep using Facebook and you’ll see one of these pop up every time. Sometimes I get one every time I open the app.

 

Macy's frequently includes free perfume samples with their advertisements. I've received at least 5 or 6 of these ads from Macy's. That means I've received over 20 bottles of perfume for free! 

 

Another great option is the Bloomingdales' sample box of perfume. They also mailed out boxes full of 4 free samples. This ad appears more than once, so pay attention to the directions in the linked post. As I said, getting samples through sponsored ads is my favorite way to get more perfume.

 

 

When you sign up with Ulta, you will receive a catalog from time to time. This always includes some fragrance samples. These are not bottles, they are paper bottles that you open and find the scent inside. This perfume sample is still good. I like to keep them in a drawer so the clothes smell great. You can also stick them on smelly places like shoes to mask the smell. 

 

I have also found them in free magazines catered towards women such as Cosmo and Vogue! Not always, but keep an eye out for those options as well!

 

Sephora and Nordstrom are two of the best department stores for getting absolutely free fragrance samples. If they have perfume samples, you can just ask the staff. It all depends on the staff, but they usually always have some samples to give away if you ask.
