Selling Avon is actually pretty simple. Avon comes out with a new brochure every two weeks. That two-week period is called a Campaign. Each campaign, you’ll take those brochures and show them to as many people as you can and collect orders from as many people as you can. Your free Avon provided website is also a great way to increase your orders. You’ll make commissions from all the products you sell. It really is just that simple. If you sell a lot of products, you’ll make a lot of money. If you sell a little bit of products, you’ll make a little bit of money.

How much does it cost to sign up to sell Avon?

The signup fee to join Avon depends on which starter kit you choose. You get to choose between three options: $25, $50, or $100. Your starter kit includes brochures for your first two campaigns, full-size products (depending on which kit you choose), your representative online store where you can sell Avon to customers all over the US, samples, training, and support from our team to help you be successful.

 

What happens after I sign up?

Once you are signed up, you are immediately in business. You can start right away to set up your eStore and start selling online. You can personalize your eStore and start sharing the web address with everyone you know. We will send you a priority mail envelope with brochures and other information to get you started right away, and then your Avon appointment kit will arrive a few days later with more brochures and training. We will contact you right away to help you get off to a great start with your business, based on your goals and expectations.

How much money can I make?

You will earn between 20% and 50% commissions based on your order size. There is also a KickStart program, which, if followed, will help you earn $1,010 within your first 90 days.

The great thing about your Avon business is you get to determine how much you will earn. As stated above, if you sell a lot of products, you’ll make a lot of money. If you sell a few products, you’ll make a little bit of money. You can increase your earnings potential by recruiting, training, and mentoring new Representatives. By building a team, your income will dramatically increase. But no worries, we will be there holding your hand and helping you grow. Additionally, Avon has amazing incentives to earn free products, gifts, and trips.

 

How do I get paid?

Avon invoices you at your discount based on your order size. You collect payments from your customers who place orders. You pay Avon the invoiced amount, and any money that is left over is yours to keep.

Do I need to place a minimum order each campaign?

There are no minimums with Avon. It’s totally up to you based on what you want out of your business. The only requirement to keep your Avon account active is you need to place an order at least every 6 campaigns. There is also no minimum order to earn a commission. The commission is paid from the first dollar. Of course, the more you sell, the more you will earn.

 

How much money will I spend on expenses?

Again, this is up to you. We strongly suggest you invest in your business to help it grow.

Brochures: You will definitely need brochures. The pricing on brochures depends on the quantity you purchase. For example, 10 brochures cost $6.49, but if you purchase 20 brochures, the cost is $9.78. The more you purchase, the lower the price per brochure is.

Samples: It is up to you if you want to purchase samples. They do help potential customers see and feel items, and will help increase your sales, but it’s up to you to decide whether you want them. Samples are very inexpensive, and range from pennies to about $2.00/each.

Bags: You can purchase Avon bags to deliver orders to your customers. It’s a very nice, professional look, but is not required. If you want to save money, white lunch bags from the dollar store will be just fine.

Shipping: Shipping charges depend on the size of your order. It ranges from $6.00 to $15.00 for on-time orders and is a little higher for late orders. As an Avon Representative, you will charge a service fee to your customers (normally 75 cents) to offset this cost. You can charge more if you want. I charge $1.00 per order, and I’ve seen other Reps charge as high as $2.50. Remember, this is your business.

What else will I spend money on?

Remember, this is your business, and as such, there are general business expenses. Some of the things you may spend money on are gas, vehicle expenses, paper and ink for your printer, business cards, etc. Since it is your business, you get to set your own budget and determine what expenses are necessary.

 

So, is selling Avon worth it?

Only you can answer that question and decide if Avon is worth it for you. I have been selling Avon fora while now, and I have loved every minute of it. I love how I get to plan my schedule. I decide when I'm going to work, and I have the ability to work my business around homeschooling my children and blogging. Avon is not a get rich quick scheme. It takes time to build a business. But if you make a plan and work it every day, little by little your business will grow, and then your sales will increase and you’ll be making more and more money.

For me, Avon has been a huge blessing. We earn the income we want, we live the life we want, and Avon sends us on an all expense paid trip every year.  I love helping others start their own business, and helping them feel empowered and successful.
